Description
The goddess is seen here in meditating lotus position. The three extended fingers on the right signifies the 3 vehices of Buddha’s teachings namely:
*The middle finger represents the ‘hearers’ of the teachings
*The ring finger represents the ‘solitary realizers’
*The Little finger represents the Mahayana or ‘Great Vehicle’.
Whereas the three extended fingers on the left hand left hand symbolize the three Jewels of Buddhism, namely, the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha.
The goddess is also holding flowers in her hands which represents purity and enlightenment.
In Hindu mythology, she is the Goddess of long life, healing and serenity.
