This beautiful Samantabhadra statue depicts Buddha in sensual embrace with his consort Samantabhadri. His consort represents the feminine attribute of wisdom and he is the embodiment of compassion and skillful means. This statue is a depiction of their eternal union which is considered to be enlightenment in the Nyingma school.

This Samantabhadra statue with consort depicts them in the finest detail.They sit together on a single lotus pedestal. Samantabhadri sits on his lap while he is seated in full lotus pose and depicts the Dhyana “meditation” mudra. Furthermore, Samantabhadra wears the ushnisha topknot and the elongated ears of the Buddha.
