This Nepalese mask represents Buddha. Buddha was the prince of Kapilbastu (now it is in Lumbini Zone of Nepal) son of the king Suddodhana. Buddha was born in Lumbini, the terai region of Nepal more than 2545 years ago. The prince Buddha was very calm from the very beginning of his life. Buddha used to help the poor and week people. Later he left his kingdom and family and went in search of peace and pain relief of the people. Finally he got “Nirvana” and spread love and peace throughout the world.
