This is a fascinating long oil lampstand from the oldest Newari tribe of the 19th century is ceremonial sculptures that will have a significant decorative presence in a home. This fabulous hand-cast weighs around 10kgs, is 75cm long, and made out of brass. For centuries, the local craftsperson from the same community carves these excellent sculptures with the same detailing learned from their ancestors. This extremely skilled craft is known as Panas and is decorated with fine hand carvings of Lord Ganesha and Lord Kumar.
